O2 Lacrosse Teams with Hudson Valley Express to Launch Box Leagues and Training Programs

O2 Lacrosse is excited to announce its collaboration with Hudson Valley Express on the launching of two box lacrosse leagues in addition to other training programs.

Box Lacrosse is quicker version of standard field lacrosse and is played on a concrete, indoor surface (usually a street hockey rink) between two teams of six. While similar skills are needed to play both versions of the game, box lacrosse provides players of all ages the opportunity to continue to hone their skills while adapting on the fly to a more fast-paced and confined style of play.

The first of the planned leagues will be held starting in September 2018 in Warwick, NY with a winter league to follow.

“While we all love competition, the focus at this age is always helping these kids prepare for the next level and mature as players,” said Brandon Gorman, owner and founder of O2 Lacrosse. “This collaboration between our two clubs will allow players learn from a larger pool of professionals.”

O2 Lacrosse is a year-long lacrosse training program that helps players of all ages hone their skills and work with professional players on a consistent basis at tournaments, summer camps and on off-season teams. Hudson Valley Express has been based in Warwick, NY for over 13 years and, most recently, fielded seven teams of middle- and high-school players in tournaments.
